Students at the Bermuda College have unearthed thousands of dollars in savings after conducting an audit of their energy use. Their findings were outlined in a presentation at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute on Monday. Their recommendations, if implemented, could free up funds for more students to attend the island’s only tertiary education institution. The audit was conducted as a class project for the College’s Culture and Geography class taught by senior lecturer Amy Harvey. Students Domonique Williams, Ashley Steede and Taj Donville-Outerbridge presented their findings at the start of an awareness raising event, organised by Greenrock and BeSolar, on an alternative energy plan for Bermuda.
